Racism, Oppression, and Bias I: Expanding Mediator Awareness

Raise your awareness of racism, oppression, and unconscious bias to recognize the harms mediators can cause through their own white fragility and assumptions of what is normal or universal.
This two-hour awareness training is the first half of a two-session four-hour DEI training for mediators. These four hours of training and discussion is considered a beginning to what should be an ongoing, life-long practice of self-examination and humility.
This session is the pre-requisite for the Race, Oppression, and Bias II. *There will be one to two hours of required readings, podcasts, and/or videos that will be assigned one week before class begins.
