Every aspect of CRC services fosters connectedness and community, especially across differences. Individuals engage in difficult discussions that promote deep listening and empathy. Mediations, dialogues and circles, youth work, education –all foster new understanding that builds bridges and dismantles barriers.
Overview
Mediation
Mediation is a time for two or more individuals to come together to discuss difficult and emotional situations. Trained mediators provide a setting, in-person or online, where each person has an opportunity to talk about what has been going on for them and get clear on what their needs are. Through this guided process, participants can have a more productive conversation that may result in an agreement of their own choosing. Mediators can write down agreements made during the time together, if the participants choose. A session usually lasts about two hours, and you may schedule additional sessions, as necessary.
Mediation fees: CRC mediations are low- or no-charge. That is, CRC does not turn individuals away based on inability to pay. If you are interested in finding out more about mediation through CRC, please know that we welcome all, and we ask that people pay on a no-pressure, pay-as-you-can basis.
Mediation is confidential, and it supports each participant’s self-determination, relying on the belief that each person knows what is best for their own life. There are many opportunities in every community to utilize mediation to help individuals resolve difficult and emotional issues.

- Sibling disputes
- Historical hurts
