Building Relational Skills in Mediation – The Basics

Improve your mediation skills by understanding and practicing a relational style of mediating that provides tools for participants to feel empowered and deeply understood.
In today’s conflict climate, transactional and problem-solving approaches to conflict provide little support for personal conflicts, and may, in fact, be harmful to participants who lack equity, have unhealed trauma, and many others who need to process difficulties and emotions. However, these are skills that can be used in any mediation with great success.
